Walk In, No Appointment: Back-to-School and Adult Immunizations in Hamilton, MT

School starts soon, and the to-do list is already long enough. Getting immunizations should not be the hard part. You do not need to book an appointment, sit in a waiting room, or take a half day off work. Walk in when it is convenient for you, and we will take care of it.

We handle required and recommended immunizations for junior high students and older, including adults. Here is how a visit actually goes, and how to keep it quick.

Bring the immunization record

This is the one thing that makes the visit smooth. Bring your student's current immunization record - the card or printout that lists what they have had. We give whatever shots are due and update the record right there, so you leave with proof the school will accept. No hunting for paperwork in September, no second trip.

Call us first about your coverage

Most insurance plans cover routine immunizations, often at no cost to you. But plans vary, and nobody likes a surprise. If you want to know before you come in, give us a call and we will check your coverage for the specific shots you need. It takes a couple of minutes and saves any guesswork at the counter.

Adults, you are on this list too

When we say junior high and older, we mean it - adults are welcome, and a lot of you are due. Plenty of grown-ups in the Bitterroot are overdue for a Tdap booster (recommended every 10 years), a flu shot, or a shingles vaccine if you are over 50. What we handle, and what belongs at the pediatrician

We take care of immunizations for students in junior high on up. For younger children, please see your pediatrician - the early childhood vaccine schedule is tied to well-child visits and is best managed there. If you are not sure whether your kid falls on our side of that line, just ask.

Before you walk in

• Grab the immunization record - card, printout, or a screenshot from the app.

• Call ahead if you want us to verify your insurance coverage first.

• Know roughly what you need - Tdap for 7th grade, or a full catch-up if you are not sure.

• Bring the whole family. Adults and older students can be seen in the same visit.
